I have always loved words.

They allow you to build your own personal conclusion to a universal starting point.

We might question the words, or agree.

We may be angered by them, or they may provide support and comfort.

We sometimes sing them, or isolate them.

They can fill us with pride or shame.

But we will react.

And when we do, we form an instant relationship, they belong to us.

And just like that, we create a bond.

That is the purpose of art, to speak to us, to question, to generate emotion and show us we can communicate despite differences in culture, economic and social background.

 

Art unites us, and it gives us all a voice in one collective, powerful language.
